R. T. Briscoe: Training and Development Officer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
» Deliver training sessions to participants and arrange for others to do so
» Identify the training and development needs with an organization through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments
» Design training and development programmes based on both the organisation’s and individual needs
» Consider the cost of planned programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties
» Developing effective induction programmes
» Devise individual learning plans
» Produce training materials for in-house courses
» Manage the deliver training and development programmes
» Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers
» Ensure that statutory training requirements are met
» Evaluate training and development programmes

Requirements
» A good degree in any of Social Sciences, Human Resources, Psychology and business related areas
» Minimum of three years experience
» Interpersonal Skills
» Written and spoken communication skills
» Problem solving and negotiation skills
» Initiative and ability to offer new ideas
» Organisational and planning skills
» Good presentation as well as interpersonal skills
» Personal commitment to improving knowledge and skills
